To all of you who serve, have served, or plan to serve, thank you. This Memorial Day is very important to me as Stoney and I prepare for his deployment to Afghanistan in the coming days. Please pray for us, Stoney's safety, and the safety of all of those who are fighting for us and our country.
Also, our good friend James O'Brien posted a blog about Memorial Day and talked a little bit about Stoney and me. Please check out James' blog: http://www.spiritualhorseman.com/2009/05/truth/. He has a true gift when it comes to words and identifying those small details that highlight the greatness of our Lord. Additionally, it seems that Tonni has an equally passionate gift for sharing the Truth. Her blog is located at http://real-life-with-multiple-sclerosis.blogspot.com/. James and Tonni remind Stoney and me of St. Francis of Assisi when he said, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” These are two special people that don't have to say a thing and you know they are living out God's gospel. Thank you James and Tonni.
Thank you Stoney for everything you do. I love you.

Thanks to you both!! Sending you love!
I'll be thinking about you both today-and I'm sending people your way.
Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts. My husband is Air Force but we've been very lucky and have never been through a year long deployment. I hope the next year passes quickly and safely for you.
Came over from Jessica's blog. Keeping you and your husband in my prayers as he leaves for deployment today. Thank you so much for all you do for our country.
Stopping by from Jessica's blog. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you say goodbye to your husband today. He is a true hero. May you both be blessed.
Bethany
p.s you are both beautiful.
I'm coming over from Jessica's blog and I just want to thank you and especially your husband. Your husband is working to keep us safe and you supporting him allows him to do that. I don't know how you women do what you do but I am in awe and think military wives are some of the strongest women and people ever! You and your husband will be in my prayers. I wish for your photography business to grow and prosper as you endure this year!
Coming over from Jessica's blog and wanted to tell you that you and your husband are being thought of. :)
thank you all so much for your sweet messages...they mean so much to me.
Many thanks and much love!
as an army brat, i appreciate you and your hubby...my thoughts for all that is good goes out to you both.
Jessica told me about your guys on her blog and in person today. Your strength as a military wife is awesome, we both talked about how we don't think we could handle it. Thank you to Stoney for serving and keeping us safe, the world needs more men like him. Praying for you guys in the days and weeks to come!! ;)
And I'm not going to lie, I have checked out your blog before, you take some great pictures!
God bless both of you...I'm praying for a safe deployment and safe return too!
Alison,
I found your blog through Jessica's. I just wanted to stop by to tell you how much I feel your pain right now. Although I'm not quite in the same boat, I can relate a little. My husband is in the National Guard and will be gone for five months this year. He leaves in 19 days and will miss our first wedding anniversary. Although he's not being deployed, I'm going to miss him all the same.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. -Brittany
